The Past Few Days & The Triplets
What a busy/emotional last couple of days! In preparation for our move to CO, we had to find good homes for our two Old English Mastiffs. We are only able to take three of our dogs with us. This past Thursday, one of the new owners had come to pick up one of the girls. Heartbreaking! To help get my mind off of it, my sons (and one of their girlfriends) thought that it would be a great idea if they took me to see a movie (with me paying of course). So we went and saw The Avengers (Good movie by the way!).
Some of you may know that I am one person that needs their sleep – at least nine hours! The movie didn’t start until 6:50pm. We didn’t get home until about 10:00pm. I needed to be up by 6:00am – for the last day at my “day” job where I had worked for almost 15 years. I had a few things to do before I went to sleep, and when I finally did get to lay down, I couldn’t fall asleep right away. That made for one tired Carol in the morning!
Doesn’t it sound like I should have gotten a little more sleep? That up until that point I had been through an emotional time with more to come? I thought so too! But what the heck, it was only one more day out of my life where I had to get up early for work. It wouldn’t kill me in the end. Hanging with the kids is what it should be all about.
The next day, after my very tearful goodbye to my co-workers, I was able to run home with just enough time to get my camera gear and head off to my moms to photograph my nieces. I was all excited and had all these cute, cute poses in mind! Let’s just say, when I got there, my bubble burst. I knew it wasn’t going to go the way that I had envisioned. My mom and sister-in-law looked like the walking dead! It’s not mean for me to say. I’m allowed to say that. They’re my family! I guess having three babies get up every two hours (or sooner), could take a bit out of you. lol
I think my mom may have just wanted me to take a few snapshots to post for friends and relatives, but I’m sorry, that’s just not how I work. I had to try to get some sort of nice pictures for them. Unfortunately, since I didn’t have a whole heck of a lot of help from the zombies, I was only able to capture a few cute one’s:
Maybe before we move I can get some shots of the three of them together!
