Rio

My husband and I just had a late lunch at a restaurant in Greeley, CO.  The Rio has always looked like a fun place to me.  I’d see it whenever driving through downtown, and we sat in the grass right across from it during one of the town’s Friday night live music events.  FINALLY, I had a chance to go there.  Just as I’d imagined, the décor was amazing.  They have indoor and outdoor seating.  It’s in a beautiful old historic building.  They have water misting fans (like you’d see at a theme park) on their outdoor patio to keep patrons cool during the Summer months.  They always have lots of customers.  There are several locations throughout Colorado.

Our server was Ambrette.  She was awesome.  We had NEVER been to a restaurant before that actually brings us more salsa for our chips.   Ambrette actually surprised us when she brought us more salsa.  We didn’t even have to ask for more.  Salsa may seem like a small thing, but it was huge as far as service is in our eyes.  We shouldn’t have to ask, the server should notice.  And she did.  All of their employees were friendly.

They’re open seven days a week.  They serve lunch and dinner during the week and brunch on the weekends.  If you’re ever in the area, I recommend that you stop in!
